See how your daily protein adds up with Saura Pro
Knowing a protein target is one task. Seeing how breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks add up is another. Saura Pro's protein tracking connects your logged meals with a daily view.
Quick answer
Daily protein tracking is a Saura Pro feature. Log a meal from a photo or text, review the estimated foods and portions, and save it. The separate website protein calculator is free to use for a target estimate and does not create an app diary.
Start with foods you already eat
You do not need to replace your meals with shakes to understand protein. Log your usual eggs, yogurt, beans, tofu, fish or chicken, then review the portions. Include protein from the rest of the meal too, rather than counting only its most obvious source.
Check raw versus cooked weights, package serving sizes and mixed ingredients. Photo estimates can miss the amount or identify a different food, so correct the draft before saving. The daily total inherits uncertainty from every meal entry.
| Situation | Useful next step |
|---|---|
| You have no target yet | Explore the protein calculator's labeled adult reference ranges |
| You know a target | Log ordinary meals and check portions before comparing |
| Lunch is low in protein | Consider a protein food that fits the meal and your preferences |
| Your total varies by day | Look at a pattern rather than treating one day as a verdict |
Understand the target you are comparing against
A target should reflect its purpose. General adult reference intake and sports-nutrition ranges describe different contexts. A higher target is not automatically a better choice for every person.
Use an individually agreed target if you have medical or dietary guidance. A calculator or app cannot decide how a kidney condition, pregnancy, recovery or another health circumstance changes your needs.
Turn a gap into a meal choice
If a pattern suggests you want more protein at lunch, compare foods and practical portions. A serving of beans, tofu, yogurt or poultry can fit different meals. Keep enough total food and variety alongside the protein.
Avoid adding a large amount late in the day solely to make a number turn green. The tracker is a planning aid. Regular meals, appetite, food preferences and how you feel also matter.
Check Pro before subscribing
The daily protein-tracking feature requires Saura Pro. Downloading the app is free, and the in-app offer explains current access, pricing and renewal terms. This page does not promise an introductory trial or a fixed storefront price.
You can read food guides and use the website calculator without an account. Those resources help you explore the approach before deciding whether you want an ongoing app record.
Nutrition values and photo results are estimates. Check ingredients and portions before saving a meal.

Frequently asked questions
Is Saura's protein tracker free?
Daily protein tracking requires Saura Pro. The website protein calculator is separate and free to use for a target estimate.
Do I count plant protein?
Yes. Protein from beans, lentils, soy foods, grains, nuts and seeds contributes to your total, as does protein from animal foods if you eat them.
Can the app tell me my exact protein intake?
It estimates intake from logged foods and portions. Correct entries and use known labels where available; a photo estimate is not a laboratory measurement.
